+1 Trap Master & +1 twelve-year-old tsundere!
hello! i'm river, and I'm coming in with two characters - the first being satoko houjou from higurashi no naku koro ni and the second being kai hiwatari from beyblade!
satoko is a mischievous young girl who loves to set traps and mess around with people, but she's got a lot of trauma hidden underneath that cheerful exterior of hers... basically, she's a hot mess of abandonment and dependency issues trying her best to be strong in spite of everything she's been through. she comes from higurashi, which is a horror canon, so I'd definitely recommend checking out her cw page in case there's anything there you want to avoid! i'm also taking her from higurashi no naku koro ni gou, at the point where she's 16 years old, meaning that spoilers for higurashi gou will likely come up in interactions with her - so feel free to let me know if you want to avoid spoilers for that as well.
on the other hand, kai is your typical tsundere. he's a quiet, blunt and somewhat rude kid who's only recently learnt the value of friendship, coming from the end of season one of beyblade. he, too, has a lot of trauma he's struggling to deal with, as he's just recovered his lost childhood memories, where he was raised and trained as a child soldier by the organization Borg in order to take over the world using... spinning tops. yes, you read that right. beyblade really is that ridiculous.
he also has an cw/permissions page that's worth checking out, since this kid comes from a super abusive background despite being a character from a children's show!

I can't believe I never realized Beyblades was a show, I USED TO OWN THE TOYS AS A KID I have bruised so many fingertips trying to get the tops to work haha

and ayyyy that's awesome! adfjdlsjflj I def recommend the show, or at least the original/subbed version since the dub is. pretty bad iirc, otl. I used to own a beystadium and a few beyblades as a kid as well! I never used it all that much but it brings back fond memories, lol
