Game status

The player cap has been removed. We will no longer max out at 30 players. Applications will remain open at all times.

AC has been lowered from 20 comments to 10 comments or a top level and 5 comments.

If you have made any major changes to the setting, please let a mod know. If your character has contributed to any changes in setting that would be noticed by other characters, please reply to this comment to let us know. Please note that minor changes are reset at the end of every school day.

May will be a no murder mystery month. This hold may continue past the current month. Character death may still occur, and we encourage players to explore other options for player plots. When murders resume, we they will be evaluated on a case by case basis to see how to best run it.

A new series of missions is planned for May 13th. In order to progress the plot and allow characters to engage with the setting, we will be hosting a series of IC "missions", similar to the series of events that took place in August 2021. These will be a collection of mod-guided threads that lead to wide-scale changes in the game setting. There will be a total of three groups with three people per group. Please see below for sign ups.

Game updates

Our game pages have undergone an overhaul. However, the taken, bonus activity and locations pages have received a full revamp. Please let me know if there are any errors.

We have added a game lore page to the navigation. As we move away from an NPC focus, the NPC contact page has been retooled as a summary of game lore up to the current month for ease of review for players new and old alike. Moving forward, new NPCs can be contacted through this page.

The student store has been overhauled. We have removed redundant items and maintained those which we believe will be most useful to characters going forward. Items that have been removed may be kept or exchanged for the updated equivalent.

Plot clues no longer need to be bought through bonus activity. We are currently focusing on both tying up loose ends with existing plots, and making engagement with the plot more accessible. Please contact a mod if there's a plot point or player plot that you wish to pursue.

IC UPDATES

Weather update. April showers bring may flowers! May will see warm and sunny days with scattered showers. The plant life is in full bloom, and the first signs of summer are here.

The void has expanded. It now encompasses the encompass the entire right wing of all floors, including the locker area including the rooftop. Throughout the month it will continue to expand, beginning to encompass pieces of the left wing.

The school is cold. As mentioned in the April update, the chill is more obvious in some areas than others, and the mirror room is frigid.

✽

All mirrors are cold to the touch. The larger the mirror, the colder it is, and those in the mirror room are cold enough to cause frostbite. Characters may also occasionally see handprints or fog on the mirror, as though something were pushing against it; or perhaps they'll see a flash of the other school, or even their home world - whatever the mirror may offer them, it's gone the moment they blink. It's probably just their imagination.

The shadow students remain in the school. The whispers seem to have quieted down, but they may still latch onto characters who are left isolated and slowly drain them. Those who have the ability to see spirits will notice that they've increased in volume. The largest concentration appears to be in the mirror room, bathrooms, library, and auditorium.

The sound of gears turning can be heard in the clock tower. It seems to be coming from somewhere under the floorboards, and it is loudest where they've been pulled up.

The cabinets in the music room are now unlocked. Various instruments can be found inside of them.

The anatomical model has returned to the science lab. It is impossibly heavy and cannot be moved by any means. If one is quiet, they might think that they can hear it laugh or weep, sigh or whistle, though that should be impossible. Those who visit the lab regularly will now find it oddly to be more inviting, almost as though they're being welcomed.

Please ensure that you are not utilizing other players' characters without permission. This includes spreading personal details and issuing "warnings" to characters. This is a collaborative hobby, and we ask that everyone be considerate of each other and their character development and relationship opportunities. When in doubt, assume that permission is needed.

Player feedback

Finally, we would like to take this opportunity to ask players for their OOC feedback on where they would like the game to go from here. One major topic of interest is how you wish for the game to proceed, including the pacing (i.e. a quick wrap up versus steadily working through the plot,) and plot points that your character is following up on or that you wish to see resolved. We hope to move forward considering what players hope to see from the game and its ending in mind.

your resident nurse/doctor that owns the nurse's office. he comes off friendly and charming, and depending on the person he normally molds himself into the ideal person that they want which makes it easier for him to connect. while flipping through various masks, he's taken it upon himself to act as if he has amnesia to seem as harmless as he can be to his castmates, but even then he kind of just teases and mocks them so anyone is allowed to break his "amnesia", or he's just going to drop it because he's bored.

hiyori comes off as someone calculative, and thinking three steps ahead instead of one, and so he's a valuable asset if it comes to learning various things. he's a perfectionist, so there's nothing he hasn't mastered (aside from not dying), but everything else is free game. that said, he always thinks about himself, and so everything he does comes with how will this be helpful / useful to him, so it's easy to gain a business relationship with him. he's not part of asunaro, and so he's not doing anything to cause his reputation to backfire because he's honestly masquerading as some guy and it's working.

as of late, he's been overseeing helena adam's therapy, any students that come to visit the nurse's office, and doing maintenance for nanami, ranger, maple, dynamo and shin ai (pending). he'll be seen with dito, and yes, they have a pretty decent relationship, and no, he's not removing the collar. there's something about the asunaroisms in the chat, actually. he also has pre-established cr with bonnie as her caretaker, so you'll see him with her from time to time.

Plans:

— he'll be joining the clock tower crew with ranger and dito (keeping the latter out of trouble), so we'll see what that has in store for them.
— hiyori will be taking part in checking out the instruments in the music room, that means he can give lessons because he plays everything!
— there's also the chance to play out memory things, along with rorschach tests if people come for a check up.
— i'm also open to new cr opportunities if there's any interest, which can be a various amount of things— patients, someone who wants to work under hiyori's tutelage, and he'd even be open to obtaining a physician assistant (pa) within the nurse's office! because i think that sort of cr is cute, but you have to pass his tests so don't think it'll be easy...

The instruments... I hope there are bongos. Also a lot happened in April, but if we still want to play out the multitool consequences, I'll be going through older threads as well, but I'm fine with focusing on our more recent ones and handwaving the nurse's office visit, too, so feel free to leave it if you'd prefer to do new things. THE LEAD-UP WITH KOMAEDA WAS CUTE AND IMPORTANT, and after that, Alice would probably have tried to get away quickly with minimal letting Midori near him.

that's true... it's tricky bc i have ooc reluctance but nothing i can concretely point as to why... maybe the unpredictability of it. i'll sort this out on my own time.

impressions. i should actually use that more often. he's still the ultimate lucky student here, but with a few changes that can come as a surprise to close cr: (1) claw which he's had for awhile. he actually just twists of his prosthetic hand and replaces it, so it's built to komaeda's size. he also has a certain amount of mp, and using this claw's abilities actually drains him of his life source, so add get's on him all the tgime about not using it willy-nilly. (2) pink blood. (3) he kinda looks like he has pink eye (like a pink eye without the puffiness)... it's clearing up though, but some days it looks like it's back. i think that's cute, anyway he hides his face when he talks to people so :)

he's out of his coma(eda), hooray! but he's a little more quieter due to... i want to say the loss and what happened when he woke up, but honestly i believe in nanami and alice to bring him back to being annoyingly excitable. komaeda tried to kill ranger, and will admit to this, along with giving his reasons so he does not give two shits if you think he's wrong for what he was doing— he held out hope for ranger.

his birthday was on 04/28, so he's 24 now. god, he was going to die for his brithday, but lavvy said i could not kill him when add was acting up so i'm sticking to my promise! he's still the same komaeda as in not much has changed with him when it comes to his morals, but his relationships have kind of expanded for him actually? ranger being his boyfriend now, alice like a big brother figure (dreamscape is so important), and when he attacks dynamo like a feral animal, and oh, amami, your life ends here! or i should say that to shin for punching him...

Plans:

— since his birthday was on 04/28, if anyone wants to do anything for that it's free game! komaeda doesn't celebrate his birthday since he almost killed ranger on the 27th, if anything he'd probably search for people to see if they're okay. ranger put the fear of despair in him.
— there's so many new things to do so he'd check out the mirrors and the clock towers, since in january him and subaru were actually tampering with that so he's probably curious what this is about.
— cr wise, i'm going to be fixing his relationships and relationships with other people (yes, i'm looking at sara and amami, and whoever makes ranger bristle), and things like that. so yes, he'll be checking up on all his cr...
— he's back at the student store, and he also has a new item which is a dreamcatcher, it costs 10 threads, and i'll tell you it's worth it! i can't expose the details until it's bought, but... tell your friends!
