amami and shin's cr development has been really! fun! and exciting! to me! i love how it started out this really cautious thing, "strategic," but then that kind of started edging into a certain degree of trust in order to meet and exchange that information they had. then it gave them the opportunity to have the memory thing and that kinda slammed the gas pedal on amami's end because of his Existing Memory-Related Traumas(TM). i think the reason it ended up with him wanting to be so friendly with shin in the end though is kinda twofold, because there's the fact that shin was the one to return those memories to him for one, and that's good and all, but i think that... being able to put a name to his talent also restored a little bit of the anxiety and self-doubt that he had about the kind of person he was. of course he's going to be uncertain about connecting with others when he's not even sure if he's the type of person he'd be able to like himself, you know? but that memory bit was able to kind of put a band-aid on that and give him the opportunity to feel a little more confident in wanting to put some more effort in.

i always go into the memory bit first but that's because it's special to him (me).

from there on out though i think it's been a really steady stream of feeling validated that shin's a pretty decent guy. figures he probably went through something to get him acting like the neurotic prey animal he is, but amami wasn't going to dig into that without being given an in, and ultimately he's not impatient about the idea of becoming "friends" more over time as opposed to all at once. it's just that he felt that opportunity to reach out to shin more at the time when he did. shin not really pushing back on that also helped too, because it kind of pinged like "oh he's up for it!?" and i think by the nature of amami really wanting these relationships at the heart of things, he was able to take that and run with it by trying to chat with shin and hang out a little more often the way they ended up doing. please look forward to being texted all kinds of pics of kamokun working hard and being cute from amami, and also anything else he feels like taking a picture of.

from here on out though i'm really !!! to see how things go... holding cheeks. i think there's sooooo much interesting potential in the way shin decided to approach the midori subject, and it makes me really excited for a lot of reasons. more growth from the gunshot too i think, in terms of amami calling shin over with the explicit intent of knowing he wanted someone who would help hiro too, and then being (pleasantly!) surprised when shin didn't seem to hold it against him or toss him under the bus down the line. it's a really strong trust foundation i think... i'm really excited to see how things continue to play out between them!!

god I'm heart touch at Rantaro getting to reconnect with himself and his sense of who he is as a person a little I'm crying I don't think Shin knows just how deep that gesture went you're right it is special and I love it so much

i'm crying they're both two people who want friends but aren't sure, i love these two stray cats so much, he will look at all the pics and feel a bit weird but at least they aren't being framed? he doesn't think rantaro would stop keigo taking any of his own either....?

and yeah honestly I was expecting shin to read into the situation much worse than he did but it helps that like. with all the context it's fairly easy to see what happened and both hiro and rantaro got out of it alive which was a big relief (until the next day im crying poor shin). and god i love that amami was like 'shin would also help hiro' bc he's right :' ) and god yeah i love rantaro's little surprise and i think shin def picked up on that he WAS surprised and then rantaro defending him in turn im crying it's so good

yesssss it'll be fun to see where knowledge of the yttd death game goes here there's a lot to mine in them there hills. god i also like the introduction to kaede so much that friend? : D meet other friend? so good crying that shin is mirroring it with Helena and Alice
