Alice is a chunni, he's expressive and Komaeda took mileage from that considering he was new and could warp his perception. Sometimes Midori takes after the blueprint (Komaeda), but there wasn't any ill intentions, it was more since Alice believed him, he kept it up, but he never expects it to last this long because the previous attempts were ended early. It's because Alice goes along with it that Komaeda thinks to continue it, truly if he said stop, Komaeda would just move on and refer to Alice properly, but since he hasn't...

Also it's easy to see Alice is sooooo hope coded from the way he acts and how he talks, so Komaeda has high hopes for him. Komaeda's allergic to the idea of friends because bad things happen, but he's happy there's this happy, safe alternative that he can rely on that won't have consequences towards hurting Alice, he hopes. What is it is that he enjoys being around Alice, and it's easy to tell from how much attention he gives and talks to him, but Komaeda's a lonely person so when someone sort of accepts him on his own terms, he's so easy to deal with. Also why he's willing to share the bed when Natsume comes in because they're bunk bed roommates.

He's the dog as well, Komaeda feels like if he asks Alice for something, he'll inevitably do it as long as it's safe, so he navigates through that. Anyway, he's done whatever Komaeda said so far, and he's wearing the cat tail for Alice so it's important!

For Midori, maybe Reko was his fling or something, I said this is how he got Kugie too, sometimes charisma works in your favor, and the broken heart of losing your sibling so you got to play your cards.

OK his fears, which are I find him funny because he's like whoo! rocket punch, my arms come off -- to going -- Alice you make me So Mad, So Angry. I think he is mad at him for ruining his chances because he really wanted to take part in the game, and all his work was for nothing so he probably mocks him too because he knows he can get under his skin. The fear part I would say is that he didn't see himself "dying" at that moment either, so Alice broke through his safeguard, and who is to say he can't do it again. The kryptonite, honestly, so Alice is probably the only one aside from Sara who got him, but Alice was pure coincidence, and Sara had to work for that, so it's like Oh shit, here he is, so many people tried to kill me, but he made it happen without even trying to make it happen, imagine dying to a man that goes Oh... I fucked up. So the pettiness drives his anger because he died for no reason, and the it wasn't even what he wanted to do!!! That stings, makes him even pettier so I think his anger / fear is born from that...

Looks at hands... so I do feel like at times his anger is fake because he can mock and be a bitch, but subconsciously this man killed him, so petty, having to make conscious decisions of avoiding that happening again, etc.

Midori will act like he's never seen Alice because he's playing some amnesia card, but he's just some guy with a doll body at the moment, what's the worst he can do...!!! But yes, come keep him in check.

THE CAT TAIL, I can't get over Komaeda's dedication to the Alice in Yogenland themes lmao, truly the best fairy godmother... Tbh even if Alice complains about whatever, he likes the feeling of someone depending on him for something, and sometimes the way Komaeda acts is almost what he imagines it would be like to have a younger brother. EVEN THOUGH KOMAEDA IS AN ADULT... and it's not like interacting with someone like Gin, either. So I think while there's always this sense of not knowing what to make of Komaeda (and Alice pretending that he's beyond any attachments nowadays), Alice has come to accept his presence to the point that he doesn't want to be wrong about speaking up on his behalf etc.

REKO NO... If Alice ever finds out, he will take the revelation badly, but I'm all for it. The petty anger also makes perfect sense; it absolutely fits that the murder incident was like an insult because it was accidental, taking control away from Midori by chance, and it was someone like Alice smh.

Also I thought that was cute... I think I remember one of your tags about Alice feeling like a big brother even though Komaeda's older, and that's cute because Komaeda doesn't have family left (he has found in yogen), but I could see it because Komaeda could open up to the idea of having an older brother even though Alice is younger I'm laughing, he's never had it before... I think that's so cute of Alice, I was right, puts a white knight pin on him... Komaeda's fellow dog. But he's been a good fairy god mother to try and impress him, so he thinks he's even doing good so far.

But yes, I think it being an absolute coincidence, and accident for how prepared Midori is, how he is none steps ahead, was just so... a horrible insult, and now it's like salt in his wounds when he sees Alice alive and walking around.

WAIT HOW OLD IS KOMAEDA? All this time, I thought he's 23 (Reko age...), and Alice will probably be 26 in November, but either way, it's all weirdly cute.
