Helena may be younger than Alice, but she makes him think of a calm teacher because what he's seen of her has been nothing but collected and unfailingly polite, even after waking up from a nightmare or coming across him when he arrived... At the same time, he already feels kind of Big Brother instincts protective of her, since she seems to be a genuinely sweet and caring person, who surely deserves better than to be dead and suffering (why does this keep happening to people like that). What she said about being unaccustomed to others noticing when she isn't sleeping well will stay with him.

He also feels awkward if he did unintentionally make her and Shin feel inappropriate for their closeness, since he does understand the importance of having people that one can trust + what it's like to be shut out.

On a less upsetting note, he's definitely interested in hearing about Helena's personal taste in music, if she's ever willing to elaborate. For now, he's been pleasantly surprised by her kindness, which includes any food shared. Since the vending machines are unpredictable (and contain beetles???), and Alice isn't sure about getting hold of ingredients to use the kitchen himself, he's probably still hungry a lot of the time... Ty to Helena for thinking of him.
