I still have to give Helena the book, look forward to it
but anyways, Helena is someone Keigo loves in a "I feel safe and at peace just sitting next to this person" way, like it's warm and comfortable and they don't have to worry about anything. vs their cr with a lot of other characters where they're all trying so hard to show them new things and give them new experience and they're so so grateful for that but also, it can get exhausting, so they like quiet moments where they can read or study and just be and feel like that's okay too. Helena making them that slate to learn braille with was something they cherished a lot, because first of all it made writing in braille a thing for only the two of them! which means they're special!! but also bc they like learning new things and want to hear Helena's stories too and even if it's scary you have to share your stories because that's the point. thinking a lot about that conversation in particular, and learning about the ribbon, and that one tag in the mission where you wrote Helena wanted to give them something physical to hold onto, something tangible that isn't just words, and I feel that a lot

sits here emotional for days...i love keigo i'm so glad i got to be part of their world and their story because it really just means a lot getting to love someone for their own sake and giving a piece of a promise to them

their character arc turned out so unexpectedly cute and wholesome, i'm so happy for all the people they've met and got to become friends with

but also, sits down for helena and kazuki

kazuki her beloved gardening mentor...she really does respect him and by now knows about him being a people eating monster and has decided that doesn't matter any. what matters is how he is currently, and she thinks in another life she would be happy to be just taught by him and gaining a connection to growing things. she's thinking about him more frequently as they can get into the forest now and she'll be traversing it because she meant what she said to the little one...remembering his forest words.

really, he strikes her as older and somewhat tired and she wants him to be able to rest but also feel all the gratitude all the students have for him. if she was younger i can imagine her being one of the kids to bring him a cool feeling rock and being very proud of this. even though she can only talk to him sporadically she hopes he's doing okay even though no one has come to murder him yet.
