Komaeda constantly catches Alice off-guard! He's gone from initially being willing to believe that he really was being haunted by a dead student's reanimated corpse ghost, given that everything else is already strange, to considering that this may just be an eccentric person (not that Alice can talk) with unusual abilities, but he's not against continuing to refer to Komaeda as the fairy godmother of hope..... Since the entire "give people hope" notion genuinely seems to be important to Komaeda, and Alice recognizes that people do need that sort of support to keep going at times.

Confirming what Komaeda is no longer really matters, and while he's still unsettling in some ways, he also makes plenty of sense in others, and he's sympathetic despite his confusing oddness?! The fact that he casually describes himself as trash, for instance. On the other hand, "Mary Anne" is embarrassing, and Alice feels like Komaeda must find it amusing to mess with him, but like everything else, he doesn't actually strike him as malicious, just a unique brand of playful. Alice has even gotten used to not having two beds all to himself anymore...

Komaeda seems to mean well, all in all, although the disconcerting vaguely unhinged Midori vibes aren't completely gone.

Midori... Alice will always wonder how he managed to take so many photos of Reko. How did he ever meet with her so often, THAT CREEP. Knowing that Midori pretended to be various things to mess with people's lives makes him think that the same must have happened with Reko, and she (presumably) never mentioned anything, which stings.

Irrationally, a superstitious part of him does feel as though he tempted fate, and now Midori has arrived, so he really wants to contribute to keeping him in check.
