komaeda's definitely on miyuki's bad side rn. a lot of is the roundabout way he's been going about the investigation, and even if he could figure it out, he'd still feel annoyed that this guy seems super nonplussed about it. part of that's because he's under suspicion himself but on the other hand, WHO DIRECTED PPL TO HIS LOCKER??

beforehand it was more that he was just wary of komaeda, down to the awkward way that he speaks and how he goes about business just being altogether real fuckin' weird. then being called stupid got under his skin, and rly komaeda talking about his effort bugged him the most, generally because he tries to put his effort into everything to keep up, so when he's not it bugs him

he's sure komaeda has good sides somewhere b/c of the amount of ppl who are defending him, but on the other hand, wtf

bonnie on the other hand-- well, she's also wary but mostly because this guy's real fuckin strange and might straight up not be human? like there's humans, demons, robots/ais, and then just komaeda in his own corner (except soon she'll just revise that to weirdo once she hangs out with midori a bit more)

still, he seems fairly harmless to her and is actually super entertaining to watch, plus he seems a lot more pleasant than most around here! the only thing missing is her eventually finding out that he's loaded, at which point she'll try to join his circle of Komaeda Defenders

initial gut reaction to midori btw is "holy shit a headless student, i wonder if i can get him to do my bidding somehow"

what's with the company you keep, ranger. but seriously, he doesn't think that badly of ranger atm, it seems like he's also trying to help but not in the poetic way that komaeda is? only half helps b/c at least ranger didn't call him stupid, just unprepared to defend his argument for the most part

still he doesn't think ranger's necessarily bad, just loyal to a fault in the way that you can be towards someone he aint a fan of rn

bonnie on the other hand really likes ranger, he seems like an interesting guy and seems to be supportive of her making whoever killed her pay on top of wanting to know how she'd do it. she's kinda caught on to the fact that he's not human based on the convos going on in the investigation, which just makes him that much more interesting and worth having as an ally whenever she finally gets around to any kinda schemes she wants to do

also she's gotta tell her more about her granny and pup :(

bonnie really, really likes sara's company. while yeah she's a hunter who's more into money than companionship, there's still the little girl side of her that does like having a big sister type to go on rides with and treat her well, despite the cold shit she says sometimes

given her nature though, sara being so idealistic and willing to trust in people makes her an easy enough target to take advantage of, both when it comes to others and herself. so it's a bit complicated! she likes her well enough, but wow that friendship angle's only going to get her feelings hurt, especially if bonnie's gotta mess with her in the future

they'll rescue princess ariel again some day :(

miyuki's kinda... iffy on shin all things considered. he's been nothing but helpful and cool about the whole investigation, and seems to be taking shit in stride for the most part. on the other hand, he broke into his locker and kicked off the whole suspicion thing. but that was also miyuki's fault anyway so y'know

he doesn't seem super trustworthy but ultimately he may or may not be a bad guy? he's better than komaeda that's for sure

bonnie doesn't have too much of an opinion rn, mostly that he's hilarious when he's being bullied which is all she needs to know! also tho he's doing good with the investigation, so there's that

that. I love that taking things in stride part because i love whenever a character considers Shin calm or on top of things because it is always propped up by nervous balsa wood internally.

and aw... he's trying his best at it. I'm crying Bonnie is absolutely right he is very entertaining to bully, god i love her getting double nat20s on him.
