i tell my friends he "gut punches" me when i read bc everything'll be nice and comfy and then he just says something that makes me go "noooooooooooooooooo" and feel sad, but he always says it with a smile too i'm like (holds head) why are you this way. vulnerability in funny moments is a perfect way to put it and i'm glad i get it across...

on that note!!!! i really like how you balance nene's want to open up but her hesitance to have others worry about her, too; it's one of my favorite things about her, and something i absolutely adore about characters in general... how they want to give that part of themselves for someone to look after, but don't want to show that they're not all what they're cracked up to be/not as alright as they put out...
