murder mechanics

Hey all!

There's been some discussion about the consequences for murder, etc. Right now, a character suffers the pain of the victim, loses their powers, and then post-counselor visit loses one memory. But since it came up, I though it was worth revisiting since I still realize this doesn't feel like much of a consolation and unfortunately we can't have a 10 body pile up in which we all just keep killing each other (probably.)

I've also had it suggested by a couple people that they'd like a scapegoat mechanic - i.e. if a person is "caught" that didn't commit the crime, they can be subjected to murder consequences. This would be opt in and players would have no obligation.

Finally, I'm also looking at incentive to actually solve the murders since right now it's just for the deed well done. I've seen merit points and small items suggested as rewards, but I'd love to hear thoughts on this one since I've been struggling with it a bit.

So, I was hoping I could get some thoughts, ideas, etc, on how people feel about it and what they might like to see! I've got my own idea that I'll drop in the comments.

Hi and hello! Did your character go on the recent field trip to DiSaranskSea? Then please comment below with the number of tallies they'll be gaining two weeks after the trip ends! Unless told to you otherwise, all characters who went will get at least 1, since they have to die to get back to Yogen. If your character made any kills to help others get back to school, they'll be getting a higher number of tallies... so pretty.please factor that in!

anyway, hello, i'm ashu! i'm bringing itto from a not-so-very-popular game that barely anyone plays called genshin impact if you've heard of it.

itto is a descendant of the crimson oni and is currently living in inazuma as a bum, spending most of his days taking street games way too seriously, trying to fit in with humanity as an oni hybrid and being meticulous about his hair. he's said to be very loud and has flighty emotions, but he overall is a big, fat sweetheart even if he's a dumb ass. itto steals the typical delinquent/thug trope in the game and LOVES fighting people for sport..

also if you're shorter than him he will probably call you a kid but that's great cause he loves kids (and most of the time they love him too.)

Hello all! Another new person here, I'm Ari, joining with Alice Yabusame from Your Turn To Die. Everything went wrong in his life, and for even more of that, he's coming from a certain not fun point in chapter 3-1B of the route containing a lot of Sou. I'm excited to let him attend dead people school and experience the Yogen mysteries and horrors.

Thank you to everyone who helped me out on the tdm! If you're down to do this, I'd like to continue those threads in an arrival/catch-all post that I plan to set up, so that no one would need to redo the encounters. I think most of it could stay more or less the same, just with some adjustments; I will catch up on relevant info more closely. Feel free to let me know if you'd prefer something else, though!

Alice's homeroom is 2-B, and his locker number is 215. He's arriving with two tally marks. If anyone with the space for it wants this man as a dorm roommate, let me know as well! He may have had the top and bottom bunks all to himself in his weird prison cell, but he'll just have to accept whatever he can get now. (This is not a must, as I can have him sleep in some alcove, hopefully not near any void areas. Sadly the lockers are too small for him to fit inside.) UPDATE: his ghostly fairy godmother Komaeda has invited him to Star #4...

I will be hopping into the discord, and I'm open to being contacted wherever is convenient. Nice to meet you all!

He is a survivor of a killing game and apocalyptic world so he has so much trauma, most he won't acknowledge since he's one of the last pillars of hope in this world (without meaning to be). he's a really great rapper and the leader of the group representing shibuya, fling posse! he's also a great fashion designer and loves making streetwear for people. he might even make you something if you ask nicely. he's a pretty outgoing guy on the surface, if a little too blunt at times, and he's determined to smile aggressively at everyone he meets.

his homeroom is 3-C, locker number 198. i put him in stars #3, too! (hope that's okay, roomies!) he's also got number 1 in tally marks.

Satou is a sixteen year old magical girl, also called "The Witch of Sins." She's coming from a rather miserable point in her story, but she is determined to find silver lining and be cheerful about things! You know... as much as she can, given these new circumstances. Satou's greatest motivations are love: She wants to love others and wishes to be loved back. Which is kind of difficult back home, given that she erased her own existence.

hi there yogenfam!! it is i, len, the player of inaba himeko bringing you another character for once because my self control is nonexistant and i said i was gonna do this for months and now is the perfect time apparently.

this is rika furude of higurashi no naku koro ni fame. she's an eleven year old girl who was a part of her games club in canon and was known as the tanuki of her group, meaning that she is good at blending in with any society. she's also the family head to her family and known as the reincarnation of oyashiro-sama, their local deity, and is used to being treated as a cute adored princess. she also has this whole thing about Fate and the Future (hence her username being a pun of her verbal tic, 'mii' and the japanese word for future 'mirai').

she's coming in from the end of saikoroshi-hen, which is the epilogue chapter of the original eight visual novels so spoilers may potentially come up. i know higurashi is an Old Canon but the new anime (not a remake) was pretty recent so if you somehow want to avoid spoilers please let me know. also this is my chance to shill higurashi. the first chapter is free on steam and the rest of it goes on sale quite frequently for like, $20 for the whole series. what a steal.

also her character comes with uh, a LOT of content warnings and while she nor i will bring them up without permission, if there's anything you explicitly want to opt out of, please hit up my opt out post, danke.

now for the spoiler parts.....which, highlight to read: she's a timelooper who has experienced death for over 100 years and repeated the year 1983 a Lot so all of this is going to be exciting for her! and by exciting i mean absolutely awful.

she's going to be in class 1-e and ironically has only one tally mark. her locker number is also 53.

It's me Pumpkin! Back at it again with another muse! This time it's none other than Herlock Sholmes from hit video game The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles.

Herlock Sholmes is a great detective (the great is important) who investigates and solves crimes! However... He can be quite eccentric whilst doing so! He dedicates about 4 minutes a day to being serious, and those minutes are at various points in the day, honestly. Still, he's quite friendly and well-meaning. He may be annoying at times, but he's definitely got the skills- he just hides them under a layer of himbo in the meantime. Herlock's homeroom is 1-D, his locker number is 014, and his student ID number is 611914. And he's only got 1 tally mark to his name!

I'm now here with the one and only Jou "Joe" Tazuna from the game Your Turn to Die! Who is Joe? Well he's a cheery, carefree, gaudy guy! At least on the surface! Get to know him better and you'll start seeing whole new sides to him! He's gonna be staying in Star 5 for now (roommates with Rio Ranger oh boy LOL)!

I'm bringing him from the end of Chp 1, and if you know what that means.... you know LOL. Memory wise, it's coming back to him, but he still hasn't remembered the big thing. Also, just know I'm pulling him a bit from the manga and his POV novel as well too!

The Pokédex is a digital encyclopedia created by Professor Oak as an invaluable tool to Trainers in the Pokémon world. It gives information about all Pokémon in the world, the entries typically describe a Pokémon in only two or three sentences. But what if it just wasn't for Pokémon? What if we had an encyclopedia... for us?

What would your character's entry into the Pokédex look like? Oh, but you don't get to write it- after all, we're the subject, not the researcher. That's up to your CR!

→Post your character, with the name/series in the subject as usual.

→Other characters will post what they would write about you to the publishers of the Pokédex.

→Since hey, for all intents and purposes we're going to say that it's just as easy to edit this thing as it is to edit Wikipedia, comment back with revisions or critiques or something like that.

→Go give other characters an entry too. If you don't even know them, make something up! Maybe they'll like it.

→The main thing to write would be the two/three sentences description, but you can also add types, location and category if you wish!

I'm Chase! I was around a good while ago with Miyuki Shirogane (rip) aaaand this lil' lady (not rip?!). I'm back here with Baby Bonnie Hood from Darkstalkers! Yes, that old forgotten Capcom fighting game franchise.

She's a sweet and cute little girl who's also a sociopathic bounty hunter who's going to kill all of the monsters for sweet, sweet cash. She's also coming in mighty pissed, since she does remember at least coming here but time has passed and she's positive someone hit her with a sneak attack.

anyway yeah red riding hood is back. feel free to refer to her as b.b. or bonnie, since I use them pretty interchangeably. she's back in homeroom 1-E, locker #066, and she's leveled up by one tally mark to 26!
