OUR BELOVED SCRUNKLY helena has so many feelings and right now they amount to "i want to protect him from bullshit" because so much happens all the time. she very much cares about his wellbeing and making sure he eats and does things in general because she just wants him to thrive in the here and now. shin's someone she trusts enough to be asleep around and give her true thoughts on things and she has his name, which she protects so closely that he's even just referred to as "s" in her diary entries... he just matters to her deeply and though she'd never say it aloud she thinks if she ever had a brother she'd want him to be shin.

going beyond that, she has things she's frustrated with him on, but it doesn't dim her view on him, just thinking he's silly on certain topics or accepting they're going to bump into each other on the rougher corners. shin she would trust with her life, and would hug him every single day if he was cool with it. she trusts him to know things about her past, though she keeps the death games secret not out of fear but because she genuinely doesn't want to burden him with that level of pain. with how much he worries, she doesn't want to give him a lot more to stress over or to place too much on his shoulders from her, but she wants to be there for him when things are happy or sad, to just encourage him. they're "weak", but to helena they're both strong as well. she's not going to forget how his soul reached out for her.
