let's get a little more familiar

The Common Knowledge Meme

Maybe you're classmates. Maybe you hang around the same stairwell. Maybe, realistically, your characters should be doing battle over the dormitory's only kitchen for dinner rights—but since it isn't possible to thread everything out with everyone all the time, let's make things easier!

Protocol:
1. Post with your character(s) and list things that could be considered "common knowledge" around the school, including anything you think people might know or notice even if your characters haven't ever met or spoken directly. Yogen's a pretty big school, after all. Feel free to make categories if you feel like it'll help!

Fun ideas to include...
An average day or week for your character.
Things people might notice right away by looking at them (how they dress, notable scars, etc).
Behaviors people might notice by seeing them often.
Places they can usually be found and what they do there.
Small facts that might come up in conversation about your character.
Little things your character does for other students (who else here is making lunches for their NPC friends).

2. Then go reply to other people with relevant common knowledge/headcanon between your characters!

Fun ideas to consider...
How your characters might know one another (same classes, same floor, similar interests, nine degrees of separation).
Anything specific they might have noticed about them recently (like changes in activity).
How often they see each other or spend time with/around each other.
Recent developments they might be aware of that've likely been handwaved.
Who they might be familiar with by proxy (for people who might ~~complain~~ talk about their roommates, classmates, other students in general, etc).

3. Use this opportunity to handwave some CR or plot things! Got something you think your character's CR should know but haven't had a chance for it to come up? Is there someone your character sees often enough or hears about often enough that there's some basis for CR but you just haven't had the chance to talk about it? Now's your chance.

Okay, so the thought of doing this for every npc makes me want to die so instead, you guys can ask about an npc and what sort of impression/details you're interested in and I'll share

quick impressions!

❦ a short girl with long white-ish hair that fades into green. i like to think it's natural, because anime is like that.
❦ big red/purple eyes, very doe-like.
❦ thick ankles... she tries to hide this with baggy socks.
❦ scars from imp talons and bites are on her shoulders, arms and legs.
❦ smells like the ocean, pleasantly so!

average day!

❦ attends her classes for the most part- she may have done a secret arson but she's not a delinquent! yet.
❦ spends her lunches at her desk or in the clocktower.
❦ immediately after school, she'll talk with friends!
❦ after that is spent dutifully with the gardening club or cooking club, though she prioritizes the gardening club on some level, since she is the club president after all, and there's plenty of plants to look after with... disappearances.
❦ cooks meals or snacks for herself and friends- though if you ask, she'll happily oblige.
❦ she spends some periods teaching stephanie and ishimaru how to sew, and will teach others to do so as well, or to cook, on request.

But tell me about (spins wheel) Haruka, I want to know what my little ghost girl gets up to and who she likes to haunt.

Haruka is mostly around during the night, collecting borrowed books and taking fingernails as the late fee, and if it's not too busy she stays in the library and "reads" aka flips through books with lots of pictures, mostly books on animals. She likes to haunt Clamor the most, but honestly will grow attached to anybody who's able to see her on the account of not many being able to see her

⇀ a very tall, well-built man with brown hair tied back into a ponytail, several earrings, and glasses.
⇀ heterochromia- his scarred eye is green, and his other eye looks gold. it's hazel, though, technically.
⇀ now missing his right arm, leaving 3/4ths from the shoulder. it is not a pretty sight, so he's keeping it covered and ties up the excess sleeve of his shirts beneath it.
⇀ he's intimidatingly stoic, but can also give off a reassuring, fatherly aura.
⇀ his voice is deep but smooth, with traces of a new orleans accent.

⇀ as of the arm thing, he spends his days resting in the dorm or nurse's office, actually.

Oh I remember writing something about Aiko in my notebook during power outage week but it's spoilers so I can't say. She would've been an idealistic president though, and her death put the game on the bad end track from the very start

Chiaki had a very relaxed home life, she was rich, she wore fluffy slippers around the house. Since she's never coming back I can share this secret: I've had this saved in my Yogen folder for the longest time, Chiaki used to be a more mainstream artist and this is her first painting of Izumi under the wisteria tree, and then things happened and she changed her art style

npc-kun is outwardly okay! They keep the suncatchers hung by a window in the corner so they can absorb sunlight and make the room not so dark at night because yes they do sleep there and yes they are afraid of the dark

Hikaru is also outwardly okay! they usually hang around in groups, mostly cultists with their black hoodies, and tends to arrive right when the school opens at 6am before classes start and leaves when the school is closed at 6pm

IS npc-kun a good boss??? a fair and just tyrant? do i need a union rep?

realistically, student store buddies. but i keep snickering at the idea of them just kinda running into each other in void school too and being like Oh,
